After being read the riot act about no smoking in vehicle & that vehicles are non smoking. We are NOT smokers and we can't stand cigarette smoke. Imagine are surprise that the vehicle smelt of smoke so bad that we had to leave windows down, used a whole bottle of frebrez. We did not have time to see if we could return it and get something else...but we shouldn't have too!!! We couldn't leave clothes in it it smelt so bad. The precheck was great. All I did was picked car from the text message scanned the QR code and droved away. Couldn't have been easier than that. The car was clean and new. The experience was flawless. No human interaction at all. Completely hands off. The return required a human but still took less than 15 seconds for the transaction. Before I turned the car off she was gone and check in was completed.

Customer service at the counter upstairs was horrible. Down by the cars was a lot better. I have a preferred status so I was assigned my car via text. The car was not correct and not parked there. Had to go to customer service. Finally got the correct location spot for the car. But the car was absolutely filthy inside. Smeared up windows from kids or people. Steering wheel dirty. It smelled inside. Overall, an unpleasant experience. It’s the first time I’ve rented from Avis at this location and it will probably be my last.

Absolute worst rental company. 3rd time i have had problems and this will be the last. Hertz here I come. Avis just lost a preferred customer. They dont even know what cars they have, nor where they are at. Now waiting over 30 mins for a car that was supposed to be in slot P9, nope want there. went to counter, which is always aggrevating experience, oh so sorry sir, we will upgrade u to a better car in N13.
