Terrible business. Terrible customer service support. We got a 1 day, 1 way rental after our car broke down in Vermont to drive home to Portland, Maine. A week later I noticed on my card statement that we were charged $1500. I called and found out they charged $900 because we “dropped it off at the wrong location.” When we reserved the car over the phone, their staff member selected the wrong Portland (Oregon). Dawn was incredibly helpful in assisting us to get a vehicle! She was kind, compassionate, and made the whole experience of renting a car easy! We are so grateful to her and would be willing to work with this company again solely because of the service she provided!!

Avis has got to be one of the worst car rentals I've had to work with. I reserved an expedition two months in advance, and when I got there, was nothing left. They have me a sub par substitute. 7 seats down to 4. Horrible experience

The I don’t care it’s your problem attitude at customer service is a real problem. Never should have let Avis acquire another provider. We didn’t clean the car but gave you an upgrade, you should be thankful is the epitome of poor customer service. Your reservation doesn’t match your Avis number?! We don’t care, call someone and figure it out. Where is your car?! How should I know? Hit the panic button and you’ll figure it out. Finally hit the breaking point after 15 years. Anyone but Avis.
