Oversold cars so our reservation wasn’t honored. Had to get a hotel that night then come back the next morning just to get an additional unexplained charge despite them giving us the car late (we were told they didn’t know what the charge was and to contact customer service) and a dirty car. Called customer service about the charge just for them to claim it was insurance we had already prepaid then hang up on us. Literally use anyone else.
There needs to be a disclaimer that they don’t have a phone at the desk. If you have a delayed flight or have issues, there is no one to talk to! My flight was delayed and I did not arrive until 1 am. There was no way to speak to anyone at the airport. I had to uber to my destination and uber back the next day. Avis should let customers know this! I got standard emails saying my car would be waiting for me and it was NOT!!
This is by far the worst Avis location I have ever been too. They didnt have my car ready for me to pick up so I had to come back the next day and therefore lost an entire day of my vacation. They were supposed to reimburse me for the inconvenience and ubers but did not. They never answered they phone. Gave me a dirty, unprocessed car. Charged me twice for my reservation so had to waste additional time talking with corporate customer service. Absolutely terrible!
Car had literally layers of dirt inside like some one left the windows down outside in a dust storm. Also smelled like it had been driven by a heavy smoker for a year.
When we picked up our rental car we were told that the gas would be compensated because they didn't have time to clean the car. The employee wrote this down on the physical copy of the agreement they gave us. When we turned in the car, we did not refill the tank because of this. We turned in the keys after hours, along with the written agreement that had the compensation agreement attached and info on the milage.
