It took over an hour to get a car on a Saturday afternoon. There is no Preferred pickup; everyone has to go to the counter and wait. I reserved a large SUV and the only car available was a Toyota Camry. I was still charged for the much larger vehicle, which I will be disputing. Everyone in line was having trouble getting a car, and it got to the point where they could only give someone a car as one came in.

Worst car rental experience of my life. We had a reservation for a minivan to hold two adults, two young kids, and my two elderly parents. After waiting for an hour to speak to someone at the counter, we were informed that there were no cars available and went on to wait for an additional two hours and never got the car we needed. People working at the counter were rude and walking away from the desk midway through conversations with customers. We will have to return to the airport tomorrow and try to get the car we needed.

⭐☆☆☆☆ My rental experience with Avis at Burlington Airport felt less like renting a vehicle and more like participating in a reality TV show. I arrived to pick up a full-size SUV reservation that had been booked months in advance. While waiting in line, I listened as multiple customers complained about receiving vehicles that were dirty, low on fuel, and overdue for maintenance. I usually have pretty good luck with Avis/Budget, unfortunately not this trip. All cars were taken, even though I booked my trip well in advance (I am a preffered member). If you're going to book cars, stop when you have all the cars taken for the day, that way people get the cars they need. I was lucky that I was just in Burlington for work. Some people were trying to get to locations 3-4 hours away. Representative was unhelpful and rude to all the customers. They should fire everyone except the older gentleman that helped ... read more

Arrived after our flight from Chicago and were told there were no cars despite having a reservation. Upon asking how that could be the case, the person working the counter swore at me and called me rude. Another worker yelled loudly that it wasn't their fault and what were they supposed to do. After asking around, this is evidently a regular issue with this Avis branch which does seem predictable and that there could be something to do about it.
