Please beware Avis! I reserved a car for $690 and they billed me for $1,589 when I turned the car in with a slew of hundreds of dollars in vague fees that they would not waive after I disputed. Go literally anywhere else.
Due to a car breakdown, my brother and I had to rent a VAN from Avis at the Memphis airport. Uber dropped us at the return vehicle entrance. Our “baggage” included 5 empty Styrofoam ice chests, a small beverage cooler, a wheeled walker, 2 suitcases, 2 carry-on style bags, a doggie car seat, a dog bed, a tote with snacks and a dog. I was concerned because of the poor reviews, so I reserved the vehicle a day early just to allow for mistakes. They had a 15 passenger van for me. I had reserved the 12 passenger, but they helped me remove a couple of seats to allow room for luggage (it is the same chassis). Staff was courteous, respectful, patient and helpful; which seems to be an increasingly rare occurance in my customer service experiences. Good job, guys.
Honestly one of the best experiences I’ve had at Avis Car Rental Evansville Regional Airport. The whole team was awesome—super helpful, quick, and just easy to work with. They made everything simple and stress-free. You can tell they actually care about customers. I’ll definitely be coming back.
Shoutout to Abdul and Mahamed at Avis! They made everything super easy and were really helpful the whole time. You can tell they actually care about taking care of customers. Definitely one of the best rental experiences I’ve had.
