Terrible rental company across the board. Thought it was just the Arizona Airport Avis that was a problem, nope company wide trash offerings. Requested a sporty coupe only to be told the day before my reservation that that vehicle is not available do you want to cancel or get a different car? I'd like time to think, I get the car rental business is monopolized by 3 companies but Avis by far is the worse of them.

I reserved a car for one day, a day in advance, but when I went to pick it up, the person named John, a super rude guy, told me the car wasn't available. He didn't offer any alternative car, and simply refused to answer my questions. When I called Avis, they told me they had many cars available. To this day, Avis still hasn't given me my refund.

We reserved a car for the day then went to pick it up and it wasn’t available. They only had an electric car which was not charged enough for the trip. When asked why it wasn’t available when we made the reservation the guy behind the counter said it was because we made the reservation today, which we did but then why say you have the inventory if you don’t? We wouldn’t have made the reservation for today if the inventory wasn’t available. This was literally an episode of Seinfeld.

Nice people friendly an understanding. Altho I returned the car 3 hours later then they said it was due an got charged for another full day!

Before coming in I called the Avis customer support to ask if they had the car class I was looking for available. They said yes. I show up, said good morning to the lady, and she respond with no greeting but just “we ain’t got that” and an awkward smile with nothing else. I knew I was screwed when I saw that Budget was operating from the same office.
