Before coming in I called the Avis customer support to ask if they had the car class I was looking for available. They said yes. I show up, said good morning to the lady, and she respond with no greeting but just “we ain’t got that” and an awkward smile with nothing else. I knew I was screwed when I saw that Budget was operating from the same office.
Absolutely Appalling Experience - Fraudulent Charges and Incredibly Rude Management I am writing this review to express my extreme disappointment and outrage regarding my recent experience at the Avis in Camarillo CA. This was, without a doubt, the worst car rental experience I have ever had, characterized by fraudulent charges and an incredibly unprofessional and rude manager. Manager is incompetent! Fraud charges on my card, I had to get my credit card company to fix. You've been warned! Manager Sherry Moore will not return calls either.
Car was clean and comfortable. Staff is friendly. I could not find the extra phone I took on our trip after we got home. I called the office and was told the car we rented was out and set to return the next day. John assured me that he would check the car. He found it! He went above and beyond to help me out. Thank you very much John, it's much appreciated.
Always rent from here. Great service.
