This has to be a collection of the worst cars in the Avis fleet. You go anywhere else and Avis gives you a nice car with no issues. Here there is always a problem. Last three car experiences: engine light on, bald tires, stank like someone chain smoked in it for three years. The people are nice, but they open at 9am now, which makes travelling early impossible. We had a terrible experience with Avis in Puerto Rico but do to a lack of options in Binghamton, we were forced to use them again. This will be the last time we ever use them for sure. Our plane came in late so the desk was already closed, but we had previously made plans with a representative to have the keys waiting for us in a lock box. We tried calling the entire day before our trip to confirm this and not once did anyone pick up the phone.
