A truly sketchy company! I regret not checking this appalling review rating before making the error of booking through Avis at the Columbus OH Airport. After paying in full, {$564} for the car rental, including collision damage, they added an additional charge to my card for $772. Their explaination was that the coverage was accepted when the car was signed for when it was picked up. Apparently that was some very small print and they absolutley did not explain that those charges would be included by signing for the vechicle.... read more

Booked through Costco travel. Received a letter after drop off that I was being charged $250 for cleaning “excessive dirt” and damage (more than the whole cost of the rental). Thankfully I was able to dispute and had videos of pickup and drop off conditions. The car was given to me with a mismatched VIN, significant wear and tear, water filled headlights, lots of dings etc. I was assured by workers that they were only concerned about “major damage” and not to worry.
