We went to Avis Rental Car in Staten Island hoping to rent a car as tourists. The agent told us that since we only had a debit card and an international driver’s license, we couldn't rent a vehicle. He explained that only U.S. driver’s license holders can rent with a debit card, tourists must use a credit card. Great customer service- the staff were super helpful in extending my rental for me! Car was in great condition. Will definitely be renting from here again!
