Avis at MSP rented us a car with 55k miles and tires that were falling apart. After getting stranded in rural Wisconsin because the tire disintegrated, the company has refused to reimburse us for the tire replacement and other expenses, despite teling us before we spent the money that they would. Utterly garbge company - take your business elsewhere.

Only ranking one star as I can not rank zero. Avis is by all my accounts a bad rental car company. Bad and often filthy cars and poor customer service. So bad that usually I don't write reviews but this one took the cake. Walked in and the preferred counter was unmanned, then manned by one person. It took me an hour to get through and as I left there were 20 plus people behind me. Over 80 percent of the names on the board just had CTR next to them. Bad experience, spend the extra money and choose a different company.

Friendly workers, but they seem under-resourced. Landed around 8am at MSP, and I waited for about 30 min to speak with an Avis employee. They had two employees working for about ~15 people in line. Would be great if the company worked on resolving the customer service bottleneck!

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS AVIS/BUDGET. They attempted to charge me a $450 fee, two weeks after returning the car. They claim the fee was for smoking in the car when I dont even smoke. They refunded me no questions asked, which in my opinion goes to show that they know the charge was BS and they're just hoping you'll pay it.
