Stay far away from Ben Johns, CPA. His incompetence resulted in substantial IRS penalties for a failure to file my return. He refused to answer phone calls or emails. The group is closing this week, presumably as a result of his extremely poor service. I write this to warn people in the future if he tries to set up a new accounting firm in the future.
I've been scammed by this firm. AVOID this accounting firm at all costs. They purchased the old firm that was very reputable and I had used for years. Now the new owner, a unreliable Ben Johns has informed me, after completing my taxes two months ago and then taking 2 months to conduct some sort of "review" that they can not complete my taxes. After waiting 2 months for this review to be completed, I am sure I will now be facing penalties and fines from the IRS.
