My grievance is the conduct of Cindy Adams Buscemi, currently assigned as the home health nurse for my child. Recently, my son was left lying in a puddle of diarrhea, unattended and in clear need of care. Cindy made the decision on her own to leave our home to go to the store, without first attending to my son's urgent hygiene needs, and instead of considering a delivery or another solution that would have allowed her to remain present. I have been working with Aveanna for almost two years, and I am very pleased as being an employee. They have been amazing with providing educational resources, quick responsiveness to issues, and truly appreciate their employees. The Jacksonville office has been professional and has provided resolutions to minor issues quickly. I would say the only negative aspect that I have experienced are the issues all nursing staffing agencies face, which include work travel time, lack of vacation time/PTO, and emotional burnout.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY they will give you any excuse under the sun to not staff you with nursing.. The head Administrator (Samantha Pennigton) of this facility told me that my child doesn’t even need nursing and she didn’t understand why we had it and that she was going to talk to my child’s Dr and etc. THIS company has been a headache from day one Do yourself a favor and use anyone else and as for Aveanna you should just go ahead and closes them doors to the public. I am so pleased to working here at Aveanna! The office staff is very helpful and quick to return calls and emails. I usually deal with Heather Gibson and she is Awesome! Currently, Aveanna is having several bonus/contests that are fun and truly help the employees. When I got hired, I received a handwritten card from the Jacksonville office welcoming me. When I needed my 2nd TB test, they came to me so that I didn’t have to take off work hours. My emails are returned promptly and my schedule right. I have worked at many other... read more
