I was a little hesitant to rent from here based on some reviews on Google but I thought this place was great. Helpful staff, great equipment, good pricing, and easy rental process. It's not a large place so the line can get a little long when everyone shows up at once to get skis and parking is tight. I would highly recommend renting from here!
Horrible perspective on life. Entitled, rude, ultimately not community oriented. At all. Treat everyone as disposable income. Plenty of other rental services to go to. These guys just take everything and everyone as an inconvenience. Edit: "kindly" is not the right word to use. The employee caused a scene. Tried to intimidate. Then vandalized a vehicle just for doordashing in "their space". When mentioned that doordash pickup would take less than 30 seconds, it was met by, "that's not what I asked."...everything on this one ... read more
I live and work in Breck and Avalanche is my go to shop for both summer and winter activities. My uncle was recently visiting town from Pennsylvania and rented skis from Avalanche for his trip. Pick up was easy and they got him a great pair of skis and boots to use during his visit. On our last day, he had a mishap with one of his boots and the crew dropped everything they were doing to help get us back on the hill ASAP. Thanks for taking care of uncle Vinny and ensuring he had a great vacation!
Rented from here back in Nov 2019 and will be doing it again next week Nov 2022 (UPDATE 2/17/26: Rented all of our gear from here again in 24', 25' and again this week 26').. That's because this place left a forever impression on me.. Great customer service, very friendly, helpful, and knows exactly what you need without trying to sell you stuff you don't need.. Pre-booked some demo skis for a family trip. We said we'd pick up the day before and when we arrived, the skis we requested were ready with our names on them and boots for the children already marked. Swapped skis out to try different ones, they had the binding settings recorded, changed and reset in 2 min or so on the new skis. James even tolerated our young boys interrogation about skiing and all things related! Excellent pricing with 6th day for free, and an impressive selection of skis. Will definitely come back.
