Rented beginner/intermediate skis from them 2 years in a row, both times the skis were unusable. They pop off with the slightest turn. Went to Christy’s and asked for the exact same setup (height,weight,boot,exp) and the skis were flawless. When I went back into Avalanche to tell them the issue and ask for a refund or at least a credit for another day, they said it was my problem and there is nothing they could do. Outstanding ski demo experience! They were the only shop in town with Volkl Blaze, and they were in perfect brand new condition. Excellent price and extremely efficient and professional service. Avalanche will be our new family shop every time. Thank you!
From start to finish, this was an exceptional experience. The ski quality was excellent (beginner to advanced equipment), the rental process was efficient, and the team went above and beyond helping us plan where to ski as a family. If you’re renting skis in Breckenridge and want quality gear, local expert advice, and people who actually enjoy helping you, this is the move. We’ll be back.
Super friendly staff. $300 for snowboard rental with helmet and damage waiver for a week. Boards look good. They take your size and give you a proper sized board or skis.
