My tripod tipped over and my camera landed on the LCD screen, bending the hinge so the screen would no longer close. I called 2 stores near my house, but neither could do the repair. Both places recommended ACR for the job. When I brought my camera in, they quickly inspected it, showed me the issue, and explained my options which were all at or below other quotes I had gotten. I had purchased some Nikon lenses for a Canon 5D my kids use for animation. One became jammed on the camera and I brought it by. Matt fixed it in a few minutes, was great to talk to, and has the nicest dog that my kids loved.

Update 2026: Used Authorized Camera Repair again this year to replace the entire lens assembly on my irreplaceable discontinued Panasonic Lumix DC ZS70 point and shoot. Matt gave me a prompt and reasonable estimate and I again shipped the camera off to them. It came back essentially "good as new" and I hope to be using it for many years to come. Amazing experience! I had a faulty lens that was repaired and then the new motor was also faulty (nothing to do with Authorized Camera). Matt not only stood by his warranty, but went above and beyond to get my lens working again. I couldn’t be happier and would highly recommend them to anyone. If I ever need service in the future, I know I will be reaching out to them!

Took the option to have expedited repair with a premium charge (vs waiting 6-7 weeks for completion on standard pricing), Authorized then did not honor the agreement and blamed the carrier. Carrier kept delivering 2hrs before location opened but it's hard to belive this was a legitimate issue they couldn't do anything about considering they've been in business for a decade or more and also the fedex location was less than a five minute drive away and fedex offers an option to easily pick up shipments that are missed.
