Absolutely not worth it... do the grapevine train instead. This train is dingy, gross, unkempt, and the windows are smaller the more you pay I have two babies so I spent more on tickets for a "first class lounge" and it is like a dark cave with a tiny window so you pay more for what? To see less? Not impressed won't be back
The people are very nice. The check in process is very easy. The cars are very clean. We enjoyed the history and the experience. I wish the views were a little more scenic but I would do it all over again. Please support this train. It is indeed an experience.
Highly recommended! If you have never been on a train or are a fan of history, it's definitely worth a trip! Having been on the Flannel Flyer and the Murder Mystery train, I can say that it is great fun with a wide number of events for any occasion! Would recommend as either a family getaway or as a lover of trains
Editing to add based on business response because I do not want future guests to be misinformed: There were no details listed in the confirmation email about picking up tickets at the building next door. The email simply states “Will call” then goes on to say “pick them up at the gate before the ride” which is wrong information. I congratulate you guys for running such an amazing company. The kids and whole family loved it. The staff and VOLUNTEERS were amazing. Will be coming back.
