Will not pay us for items sold from MIL’s estate. Doug Stovall, Ken Hays nor Ken Hays Jr will return our calls after non-payment for several thousand dollars of items sold.

I recently moved and needed to dispose of many items that I no longer had room for. I contacted Hays Auction to see what was the best way to sell them. They suggested some of my items should go to the on-line sales while some should go to the live in-house sales. I couldn't have been more pleased.

If you ever have a need for an auction company, be sure to pass this by. I thought after talking to the owner and wife at different times and basically getting the same answer I thought this was a stable company. But guess what they are dishonest as all the rest. I got moved and then had a problem with what they had told me. I called to see if they were going to do the right thing and guess what not a chance in hell of that happening. We placed over 50 valuable dolls (antiques & rarities) and helped Hays load them into their car. Four months later, after many attempts and mostly failures to contact them, after we request a return of the dolls, we are suddenly told they were ALL sold, and enclosed was a check for $159. There were individual items valued higher than that in the 55+ lot. As other angry customers have said, these people prey on especially estates of collectibles, probably sell these dolls to their family and friends at ridiculously low prices... read more

This might be a good place for SOME buyers (read what people write on google reviews), but like many others, we placed over 50 valuable dolls (antiques and rarities), roughly valued at over $2000, and helped these people load them into their car while we were given a smiling happy spin on things.
