I still would have highly preferred end of life care for my parent IN HIS HOME. Personally Au Chateau is an older facility. Money does need to go into renovating/cleaning up the foyer. If our great Ontario government can spend huge amounts of money renovating WNGH, they can too, on Au Chateau. Even just a simple unified paint job in a flat colored light taupe or beige, throughout the facility on all the inside walls would spruce up the place a great deal. Many walls are damaged in there.
