We’ve had our taxes done by Atkinson LaRue & Schone, LLC (Jay LaRue) for years. Minor mistakes were caught; then I dropped off all our 2020 tax info. At their office on 3/1/2021 to be prepared and got confirmation that Jay got them. Since then, Jay never contacted me and “All” my phone messages (no one answers the phone) have not been returned. I hoped a extension had been filled w/IRS. However, on 6/1/2021 received a letter fm State of Mo re: Past due taxes. Called/left another msg for Jay; no response. Called the State and... read more

Currently, my husband I are frantically trying to get ahold of the IRS (which is an impossible feat during a Pandemic) because Atkinson Financial Services did not double check our account information for direct deposit, and put in the wrong account number. Not only do we not know if or when we will get our tax return money (which is over 5,000 dollars) we do not know if we will receive our stimulus check, which is also over 5,000 dollars. That's a $10,000 loss because of a mistake they made, a service we paid them for, and c... read more
