What an incredible weekend with Meg Leslie from Atherley Arts. A gaggle of women (are lots of women a gaggle?!?!) made extraordinary mosaic works -- birdhouses, tables, and trays. Each piece was unique, each piece beautiful. Meg was an extraordinarily gifted facilitator -- she knew just when to nudge, when to step back. We wanted a tile for the backsplash above our kitchen sink that represented a typical windswept pine on a Muskoka Lake. Meg did an amazing job on this, much more than I imagined! Meg created the most beautiful fireplace mosaic for my home in Severn Township. Comments from friends have included ‘awesome’, ‘beautiful’ and ‘stunning’. It is a thing of beauty!
Meg was so warm and welcoming for myself and my mom, making tiles to celebrate her milestone birthday. Meg guided us in our own creativity and gave some helpful hints to make our tiles as beautiful as possible. It was an experience to remember. I would love to do it again. Seeing Meg's own tiles were so inspiring, her backsplash was incredible!
Atherley Arts created two incredible backsplashes for our cottage! It is hard to find words to describe just how beautiful they are, but suffice to say they represent the heart of our home capturing our family history and our amazing lake! Meg was absolutely fantastic to work with and the design process was so much fun. If you are looking for a one-of-a-kind piece of art in your home, Atherley Arts is the place to go!
