Today I went to the local ATB because I needed their bank number and their branch number for a form. I produced my debit card and answered the security question…then they asked for my ID. I did not ask for money, I did not ask for a balance, I only needed their “secret” bank/branch number. In their defence, I’ve only banked there 25 years. Twice, in the past, hackers compromised my account, and I still stayed, the last time a refund was refused. I don’t recommend asking for their secret bank numbers.
