Lisa has done my taxes for years, but I got an email from Harris CPAs saying I need find a new acct because she is retiring which is totally reasonable. I called their office today to inquire about possible switching to a new Acct @ Harris CPAs. I talked to somebody named "Claudia." She told me quote: "I best need to find somebody else to do my taxes and I was out of luck/being dropped." She then hung the phone up on me. Lisa: 5/5 stars amazing accountant (retiring) Intern/kid Claudia: 0/5 stars (yikes)
We had a terrible experience with this firm. They are way overpriced for the service they deliver. We never heard from our CPA in a 12 month period, yet received a huge bill, and when we requested an itemized statement to see where the charges came from, we just got the run around. We would never recommend them.
Before using Harris, please know they are not Ataraxis. Mike was our tax guy and then I introduced him to my mother. They change to Harris and ethics are out the window. I received a bill, from back when I first brought my taxes to Ataraxis. What, I have never seen this bill nor had I been told a fee was going to be charged to me. I then ask for them to get to me the hard copies of my taxes. They charge me 350.00 to mail me my tax receipts! Get everything in writing if you are going to use Harris.
