Having never weaved before, I was quite skeptical that I possessed the talent or design sensibility necessary to create anything worthwhile in this class. Boy, was I wrong! I found myself so relaxed by Bobbie’s teaching style and welcoming demeanor, that I let go of my perfectionism and completely immersed myself into a ball of fluffy happiness. I created patterns at first, and then after learning new techniques, followed Bobbie into a more free style of abstract shapes and textures that was so cathartic and mesmerizing. I f... read more
I took an intro workshop with Bobbie and had a great time. The environment was very welcoming and instructive. I felt comfortable learning some basic patterns and tried out getting a little experimental! I was able to take home a loom and the experience was the perfect creative jolt I needed to apply towards some other creative projects. The color, texture, and weaving patterns provided the perfect jumping off point for some crossover projects I currently have in the works. I’d love to take another class!
