If you need knowledgeable help, not from big shops that know nothing about their products, go and see Jason and Alan. They know so much. I'm a beginner with my fish and tanks, but they've taught me so much. I know I can ring with a question and I trust the answer I receive. They don't pressure sell, which I love. I recently visited Asylum Aquatics and was blown away by the incredible selection of marine life and expert knowledge of the staff! As a beginner aquarist, I was a bit overwhelmed by the vast array of fish, and other creatures on display. So helpful and knowledgeable! My partner and I have started the cycle process for our first tank and the lads at Asylum Aquatics were amazing. After reading so much conflicting information online, it was a breath of fresh air to have clear and comprehensive advice from experts.
Absolutely Devastated. Initial dealings with these guys was kind and friendly and were happy to buy four juvenile African Cichlids for our established aquarium. Within a week, our whole acquarium of full grown fish were dead (11 Cichlids, 2 Frictus catfish , 3 mature clown loaches and many bristle noses)... all but the four newbies still happily swimming around. I have been to many pet / fish stores across both NSW and QLD, and this is by far the best one. Nothing will ever beat the experience and quality of service that is offered here, not to mention their prices being much cheaper than any other store. They are honest with their advice, and have been very helpful in setting up my tanks. They work hard for their business and deserve their great reputation.
