Caller was ignorant & hostile towards my wife, calling about a supposed outstanding balance of $150 from 10 years ago. Just bad customer service as these "bottom of the barrel scrapers" attempt to scam people.
This is a scam they called me saying I had an outstanding dept from 2012 for 90 some dollars and they were eager for me to pay so much so they were willing to give me a "discount" i refused to pay and hung up Then I called to the business i was priviously a member of inquiring about this "dept". They pulled up my account to see if I had any unpaid balance (which I do not) and they informed me they are not affiliated with this "collection agency" and never heard of them.
You people need to go read 15 USC 1692d (6). Proper identification of a debt collector is not "saying who you are". I can call anyone and say that I am anyone. None the less you have foreigners calling. With today's scams & fraud, do you honestly think I am giving you my personal information without knowing without a doubt who I am giving the information to? You must properly identify your self.
