I honestly don’t even want to give one star, as I feel I was a victim of this closure. I paid my tuition in April for a course that was supposed to start on 7 October. However, only three weeks before the start date, I received an email saying the school had closed. Students on a student visa are able to get a refund through government protection, but because I am on a Working Holiday visa, I was told I would receive nothing back. Studying at Astley English College has been a very good experience. The professors explain clearly, use good materials, and make the classes enjoyable and easy to follow. The administration always responds quickly and is very empathetic. They understand that many of us come straight from work and sometimes don't arrive on time. I highly recommend it.

Horrible experience. I have heard our teacher don't get paid salary. The other day, we didn't have a class because of this issue. Teachers are nice and I learned a lot but I can't believe this company doing this. I paid material fee but didn't receive textbook, not only me but all my classmates too. They mix different level students in one class, so it’s very hard to study. Now everyone is worried this college might close. I don’t feel safe to study here anymore.

Una buena causa para aprender inglés en Astley English College, es que tu puedes estudiar con gente de otros países donde para socializar necesitamos comunicarnos en un idioma en común; En Ingles. Así que todo lo que estudias, lo vas a aplicar de inmediato, además de los excelentes profesores que tienen, están ubicados en la ciudad como tal y cerca al Opera House y a la estación del tren entre otros...

I submitted “the refund request form” to them on October 31.. They initially informed me that the process would take 6 to 8 weeks from the date of submission.. It’s been around 8 months now.. Just empty promises and no real results..! That timeframe has long passed, yet I’m still waiting for any updates..!
