I generally have had a positive experience with Associated Credit Union over the years, but my recent visit was disappointing and frustrating. I went in to get a new debit card, and initially, everything seemed to go smoothly. The staff member I spoke with was polite and handled the process well. However, once I tried to activate the card, I ran into problems. I returned to the same lady for assistance. She tried to help by reading out the card number so I could call and activate it. This credit union is an absolute joke. I’ve had this car loan since September 6, 2022 and I’ve made my payments on time faithfully every single month. I paid my car payment of 430.44 on December 28th,2023 to be used for January. They took the money from my account on 12/29/2023. I paid on 1/11/2024 and for February’s car note and they have no record of that even though I have the proof and time stamps. I owe them 330.44 for a miscommunication for the month of February.
