I started looking for a place for my mother well over a year ago. After looking at 10 or 15 places in the area I felt this was the best place for my mother. My mom has been there now for about 2 months and my expectations of The Blair House far exceeds what I thought it would be. The staff are fabulous, very caring and thoughtful. The cleanliness of the facility is is spectacular. My mom is still adjusting and the move has been hard for her, as with anyone of our loved ones when moving into assited living. I was at this facility for several weeks. The only things I can say are very bad. Being towel whipped by an aid, asking for a female to help get cleaned up and refused. Left alone in a chair ( I couldn't walk) for several hours and no answer to the buzzer. Sheets were rarely changed. I was lucky if they straightened them out. The food was inedible, I lost 53 pounds. I learned that depending on status, your food differed. And even the the nutritionist asked for certain things, I wasn't given them. Tables were sticky and uncle... read more
