Definitely a school that needs a diversity audit by an unbiased external party. Not to mention authentic training for its staff. It's not sufficient for only the director to assert it's organization embraces diversity. Actions speak louder than words.
We have had two children enrolled at Aspen Academy for 4 years now and we are very happy with our choice. The learning environment is bright, clean and full of energy. The school didn’t miss a beat either when COVID hit with virtual learning starting almost right after the kids were sent home. Our kids enjoy going to school every day and the curriculum is challenging, especially at the junior high level - exactly what we want. We LOVE Aspen. This school is impressive under the incredible leadership of Kristina Scala. Our daughter loves going to school every day. Her teacher cares so much, notices the details of our daughter's personality and how she learns and gives us thoughtful feedback. I recommend this school to anyone who wants their kids focused on the VALUES "being kind, doing good, working hard, and making the world a better place." It is as simple as that. A++++++
Where do I start? My oldest moved to Aspen Academy about a year and a half ago from a public school. Little did we know that COVID would hit a year or so later, and it would further reaffirm our decision.
