My mom has been there for some time. Major concern is poor food quality and quantity, room cleanliness is extremely poor, if I didn't clean it would look like a homeless person lives there. When a medical issue arises, it can take days if not weeks to see a doctor. Consider how much we pay per year, the way this place treats their residents is unacceptable and negligent.

My dad was very comfortable at Ashwood with the loving nursing and PSW staff that helped him when they could which was very limited. The management was not so great! He lived there for just over a year and lost 30+pounds, the food was terrible, unhealthy, and super small portions. His toilet leaked the day he moved in and often over flowed and was never fixed.. His room smelled terrible like urine as they kept removing his vinyl cover on his bed so his bed would get wet. We had to replace two mattresses. They have a high tur... read more

Coming up to 1 year for the father-in-law to be living at Ashwood. Within a week of moving in, every staff member called him by his first name. This is indicative of the kind of care exhibited daily at Ashwood. Each time we interact with staff, we have nothing but supportive, friendly and helpful attitudes from each of them. This is from kitchen staff to nursing to administration, first rate. This contributes to a great culture and atmosphere for those senior years to live in comfort and safety.
