They are great. They're among the kindest people I know. I like making money getting a flu shot. There's other research studies. Im doing a low back pain next year.
I have been involved with drug studies before but this has been by far the smoothest and best managed program. I don't know if I got the study vaccine or the "normal" one but it was great to be protected without insurance and I am doing fine so it seems to be working. Staff is very professional and pleasant. I will look for more ways to participate with this clinic.
I had the most incredible experience with Makinna and the staff. Everyone was very professional, caring, and friendly. They make you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in the door.
I just enrolled in a paid clinical trial for a new MRNA flu vaccine. If you're 50 or older and don't have an autoimmune disorder, you're eligible. There are a few visits to their office in South Asheville, a few phone calls, an 2 weekly surveys. The trial lasts 6 months. I just got the vaccination (neither I nor they know which one I got, but I'll find out around April) and everything went very smoothly. They're really pleasant and easy to deal with.
I had a very good experience with the Asheville Clinical Research team. Everything was explained to me and easy to follow instructions.
