Worst experience ever from renting a car with a huge crack on drivers side windshield to having to go into the bowels of Vancouver to return the car. We were not properly instructed on how to return the car. It was like an escape room game and we felt very unsafe. It took us about an hour to figure out how to return the car because the front desk person rushed us, and didn’t tell us where the car was stored overnight.
I cannot say enough about the unparalleled service I’ve received from Ascent Car Rental’s Vancouver downtown office. Worst experience ever. Got this company's rental via Super app and hands down worst experience. We were supposed to get a 8 seater , but they gave us tiniest 6 seater and told us this is pretty much the same thing (Mona) . The CSR rep was completely unprofessional rude and didnt care about passenger safety , we had kids in the car and they wont have seat belts , she said should be fine. Surprisingly very easy!! I was a little nervous that everything was done without human interaction, however everything from booking, picking up and dropping off was very easy. We had a couple of questions throughout the trip, which were answered immediately.
Super frustrating to pick up, especially if you're at an off-site location. You literally have to wait for the person before you to drop off. If they are late, you're out of luck. There were two of us waiting for people to return their cars. I waited 2.5 hours. The car was kinda clean, but the back windows and doors were sticky with some caramel substance. We cleaned it off.
