It’s disgusting that Ascension now basically forces employees to use its own pharmacy for maintenance medications. If employees go elsewhere, they have to pay the full retail price of the medication. My copay at Ascension Rx is 6x more than what I pay at other pharmacies for a one month supply of my generic medication, and I’m having to scramble to have my prescription transferred to a cash discount pharmacy. Turning your local Healthcare centers into businesses that would step on your neck for $1. They buy whatever they can and then cut staffing, throw out digital security measures, and force remaining employees to cut corners. Healthcare is about people, but ascension is about stealing your money to make some billionaire richer. I wouldn't choose an ascension location if I were on death's door

It's disgusting how they have reduced staffing at numerous hospitals. They were un prepared for covid because of this. All the while their CEO took numerous pay increases while staff took pay cuts. It's funny how they say their non profit, but they have consistently put profits before people.
