I have visited the Spring Hill branch various times to get a new debit card, after Ascend caught fraud charges. New debit card is always in my hand within minutes. Staff are friendly enough and quick to take action. The Acend Fraud alert team alerts via text within one minute of a suspected suspicious transaction. Mine have always been caught before charged. Ascend’s Fraud alert algorithm is better than Target’s.
Do not trust Ascend Federal Credit Union with your auto financing. This institution repeatedly engages in deceptive bait-and-switch lending practices and fails to honor its written commitments. The first time this happened, Ascend issued me written approval parameters for an auto loan ($41,000 at 6.74% for 75 months). Relying entirely on their written commitment, I moved forward with securing the vehicle and paid out-of-pocket for a Pre-Purchase Inspection (PPI).
