Specifically, ASAP Tax Kansas City is a horrifically unprofessional, unreliable tax service. Their engagement agreement does not guarantee they will do the work (it is my fault that I didn't read it thoroughly before signing it). ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. Easily one the worst experiences of my life. Everything seemed good at first, then we were audited by the IRS. I called up ASAP Tax Pros and they said, "Don't worry, we'll take care of it. Just sign this POA and send us the letter the IRS sent you". I did what they told me to do and I continued to get letters from the IRS and heard nothing back from ASAP Tax Pros after that. They completely ghosted me. I was looking for an escape from the taint of the very unpleasant dealings with the contacts at H&R Block, specifically 2 that represented they were part of the H&R Block legal team (????). I have serious questions as to their legal and tax acumen!
