Tried this dreamy little bakery on a Sunday afternoon. The pretzel was perfectly moist and the right amount of salt sprinkled on it to blend the bread goodness with a hint of sharp saltiness. Speaking of sharp, the Shichiri togarashi focaccia slab was to die for. It had a great amount of cheese and an excellent amount of spiciness, and it was especially nice after a few minutes in the toaster oven to make it even crispier. The first time I came across As Kneaded Bakery, situated on its quiet half-circle of a street, I was charmed. It appeared to be the quixotic European bakery slotted right into an East Bay neighborhood. One of As Kneaded’s signature items is the bostock. It’s like french toast and croissants had a child made of challah dough, with a crumb topping baked on top. This pastry will fill you up!
