Arubacat is the Best! We purchased our 40" Arubacat cat tree in August 2005. It's still in great shape, even after the constant assault by our 23 lb Maine Coon, Jakob. Quality of construction and carpeting and sisal rope is excellent. 40" is the biggest they'll ship, but they sell the taller trees at cat shows in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. Saw that the 51" trees are on sale for $199 this summer (2013) at the cat shows -- that's a bargain! David in VA

One of them used the base as his scratching post for about 7 years so it is a blt shabby. The sisal twine at the top is just now starting to fray. It sits majestically in my living room. And my furniture is still unscathed
floor log scratcher I have owned 2 of the floor model scratching (logs) these are wrapped in sisal and lay flat on the floor (horizontal not vertical). I have had to re-wrap it several times with new sisal as my cat's favor this one over the standard cat trees I have. my other posts were not as sturdy and have been thrown away but this one was worth the time to repair it. had it so far for 9 yrs with 2 cats and 2 re wraps. heavy, weighs like 20#
