Christopher is a versatile and prolific artist working in several media. His pastel work is especially ambitious, both in scale and variety of subject matter. His work en plein air is particularly impressive. He has a firm grasp of realistic rendering, but always in service to solid design. His work is characterized by astute awareness of what to emphasize and what to understate.

I met Chris in a Life Drawing group in NC where he generously shared his talent and knowledge with me and others. Later I took a pastel painting class with him and I was impressed with his extensive Art History background and his teaching skills. Having gone to several art openings of his in the area, it became obvious that he could handle any medium with equal ability and talent. Above all his enthusiasm and love of art is contagious and I recommend him highly as a teacher, an artist and a friend.

Chris does beautiful work! My favorites are the ones that are incredibly realistic - it is hard to tell that they are not a photograph. The lighting is amazing. Keep it up Chris! You are a treasure.

I was so pleased to be able to take art classes from Christopher this past summer. He is such a fabulous artist as well as a great teacher. I feel like I learned so much under his watchful and talented eye and I miss our class time tremendously! Judie Daniels
