We are so grateful for the wonderful care my mother is receiving at the Artis. The Caregivers are truly exceptional- they watch over her closely, help her with daily tasks, and treat her more like a friend or family member than simply a resident. Tara, Joanna, Angul, and all of the nurses treat my mom with love and respect. The are so patient and caring and are truly great at what they do. I would have to say Claire and Nada are the best care helpers at Artis. They are very special with my sister and I appreciate their kindness and effort. Having family in this environment is really very emotional to see them gradually fade away. Lisa, the receptionist is also a gem. She is extremely kind, thoughtful and efficient. She is the first face you see and it is helpful to have that smile shine upon you. My mother stayed at Artis for a short respite stay, and while the concept of giving residents more freedom to roam sounds wonderful in theory, her experience did not reflect the level of care we were expecting. From the beginning, important care needs that were clearly discussed at intake were not immediately followed. For example, due to incontinence, she was supposed to be checked and changed every two hours, but this did not happen reliably. When you make the difficult decision to place your loved one in a home for their needs and personal safety it comes with great comfort to know that Artis of Brick N.J. made this choice so much easier.. Thank you for loving my dad and taking such great care of him, it certainly does not go un-noticed.
