Jimmy, a. k. a. Manix, is a street artist and muralist based out of Wilmington, NC. Jimmy has been a creative his whole life. Ever since he can remember, he has had an immense appreciation for the arts and a drive to create. Some of his earliest memories are of watching his dad airbrush designs and names on t‐shirts to sell on the beach in Pensacola, Florida. My artist son was gifted a private graffiti lesson with Nugget, and she pretty much made his whole year! Nugget is talented and kind and made him feel comfortable sharing his work with her. He came away with new techniques and inspiration, plus her studio is the coolest. Highly recommend!
It’s difficult to describe an individual as unique, gifted, and driven as Nugget. Her energy alone is a work of art, and wherever she goes she brightens the space she is in with her endless positivity and creativity. Great Christmas gift for my 12 yr old grandson - a 2 hr graffiti lesson/ experience with Nugget. First time panting on a wall - and got lots of instruction and guidance while using his own Ideas!! She took her time and talent with him.
This elephant started out as a plain gray fountain on a concrete stand. We asked Nugget to paint it. With her co-artist & friend Rachel, this is the finished product. Amazing!! This is way more impressive than we could have ever imagined. Beautiful detail with 3D effect and the colors are brilliant!! Her freedom and expression shows in her Awesome artistic talent and creativity.
Nugget is a beautiful and creative soul who we feel so fortunate to have met! We were inspired by her commitment to her craft, community and generosity. Nugget painted a mural for our smoothie shop we are opening off Castle St. It is a tropical, Costa-Rican themed smoothie shop called Coco Pipa and she executed it perfectly.
