I will say, this is not what I was expecting. Im not of for self-care or relaxation. Therefore, I hold a lot of stress and anxiety in. This is a gem of a retreat, nestled behind the new library in Carrboro. My wife and I both tried it and were very pleased, as the space is thoughtfully designed and tranquil, with a friendly staff and a selection of well-curated products. If floating or massage are not in your budget, try the very affordable red light therapy, which will leave you relaxed and smiling.

Nestled in the heart of Carrboro, in a beautifully restored two-story historic home, is Arete Wellness Studio, a top-notch wellness haven! I use the sauna and red light therapy nook. The sauna is always the right temperature. Overall, Areté is a calming environment with great staff. I wholeheartedly recommend their services.

I was new to floating when I first came to Arete Wellness Studio, but after a few months, I never wanted to go through another month without it. By the second experience, it becomes easier to plan out how you want to approach relaxation during your time in the tank, which makes it infinitely more enjoyable. I ended up expanding my package to include monthly red light therapy/sauna and contrast therapy.
