I have worked in many nursing homes for 30 years so I know what to look out for when choosing a home for your family member. I can honestly say Arcare Springwood is outstanding. It was a hard decision to put my Mum in a nursing home but we are all so happy. Their staff are so caring, their infection control and communication is truly excellent. Yesterday was their “Ekka day” what a fun day for Residents and families. Huge effort from the activity team. Honestly I cannot give enough praise.
My husband Michael wrote a review. Mum walked in March 2019 and was immobilised when we moved her to another home closeby in October 2019, where she was cared for with compassion and love. The aesthetics were nice but the ratios of carer to patient abysmal. We only ever wanted to improve cares for Mum. I called her and she would tell me she was on the floor...so I had to call someone to attend to her. This happened on a few occasions. We are so grateful for the care and support our family has received at Arcare Springwood. The facility itself is clean, welcoming and beautifully maintained, which immediately gave us comfort. The staff are truly exceptional, compassionate, kind, helpful and genuinely caring. Nothing has ever felt like too much trouble.
