It has been two years since I last visited this locating. Everytime I get chocolate in HRM, it is good but it is never as perfect as Appleton Chocolate. Nowhere can compare to the expesso chocolate from Appleton. I need a huge order and secure way to ration it out to myself :-). Amazing chocolate!
They are not cheap but my goodness what a treat. Not at all sickly but full of flavor. I love the ginger and the blackcurrant ones. But to be fair they are all wonderful.
The owners were very friendly and nice. I love the idea of supporting a local business that uses locally sourced ingredients. They have their own maple wild blueberry truffles and I hate to say it but honestly.....it was an odd combination. It didn't work for myself or partner, we thought it was overly sweet and texture of the dried blueberries inside wasn't great. I preferred the maple cream truffle but again it was too sweet.
Absolutely amazing shop! Love the Ginger Bark! I have always been a fan of chocolate and your is my favourite to date! I will be back soon lol
