Aside from farmers markets there’s nowhere else I buy my food from. They have everything I need for my close to vegan lifestyle, so that includes household cleansing materials. Good selecti9n of organic and wholesome foods, but can be a bit pricey
Customer service has always been standoffish but I gave them the benefit of the doubt for a while, even though their goods are over-priced and fruit and veg often soft and droopy and way past their use-by (esp the bags of organic apples). They used to have a big "Chinese" sign in their window to appeal to a certain demographic, and a couple of their retail staff were Asian - an empty show of "progressive" multiculturalism, because they're not exactly friendly or welcoming. Weavils every time I buy rice. I've been coming here for about 3 months, have probably spent $600 in total, the staff are great, there is a wide selection of very high quality foods, but every time I buy rice it spawns weavils. Brown rice, weavils, white rice, weavils, jasmine rice, weavils. I keep giving this place the benefit of the doubt but I can't keep wasting so much money of weavil ridden grains, I'm paying $8/kg for tainted goods.
