Applecore is a must stop if you're visiting the Les Cheneaux Islands area! Amy the store owner is so lovely to chat with and you can tell she has carefully curated her store. She carries all small Michigan maker products, which I love. I love finding shops like hers during travels to get a more meaningful gift and trip memory than the usual run of the mill tchotchke shops. She also has the best unique postcard options if you're looking to mail one back home!
Quaint gift shop, many MI and locally made products, great variety. Very helpful and friendly owner and staff. Worth the stop.
This store stocks a brand of candles I really like. I had trouble finding them, though, until I found this store in a Google search. Not only are the candles wonderful - the customer service is 5+ stars! I sent some candles to my sister for her birthday and Amy not only wrote out a birthday greeting for me, but she sent the candles on the same day I ordered them. The result was an incredibly fast delivery and a very happy sister. Thank you, Amy; I will definitely be a repeat customer.
