worst experience I went into the spa, with the notion that I was going to get a redo on my hair color. Everything was fine until I went to check out. The owner, Tom, told me that I had received the full service again, and I was going to have to pay for the service equating to 75 dollars. Extremely Pleased with my Facial I have to disagree with the other postings listed here. My experience at Appearance Day Spa was wonderful. I enjoyed every moment I was there. I was greeted warmly, received a complementary beverage of my choice as I got settled in. While sipping the warm tea, the staff member (who would be providing the services) came over introduced herself and we got to know each other a little before the facial, making me feel absolutely at ease. Not the best experience... I went to appearance day spa about a month ago for a color and cut because my mother gave me a gift certificate. At first I thought the place was great. They offer you tea and the staff seemed very friendly. When I was sitting in the color area relaxing, I heard who I assumed to be the owner yelling and swearing in the back room. New York City Style for Hudson Valley Prices It is true that this is a no frills salon. If you want the really cushy treatment, you might have to go someplace like Elizabeth Arden's Red Door in Westchester, NY. But then you have to pay for that too. A normal, everyday haircut at that salon can run upwards of 80 dollars. At Appearance you can get the same level of expertise for 50. Disappointing I made an appointment because I had a gift certificate and this spa was listed with Spa Finder. Somewhat local and close to restaurants and shopping, I took my fourteen year old daughter there as a birthday treat. We both had massages, pedicures and facials. Wasted too much money and too much time While Appearance Salon & Day Spa would like to bill itself as a pampering oasis, is is more like a very expensive trip to misery. Instead of experiencing comfort and pampering, I was more stressed out by the stylists trying to turn my hair into some trendy style that I could never maintain. disrespectfulaut owners!! i came in for a day at the spa something was wrong with the timing of the appts. and the nail person and two guys and a hairdresser were ganging up on the front desk girl it wasn't even her fault i had made it months in advance and she wasen'T HERE THEN. i will never go there again
Totally Wicked & Mean learn some R-E-S-P-E-C-T Was a client of Appearance for years. My first appt. to see Tom, he preceded to tell me that my hair was course and how did I managed to do my hair at all which I felt was rude, however the cut was good.
