I’ve been getting my hair cut by Tom for around a year. I work in broadcasting in Manhattan and decided to switch to a stylist after going to a barber for decades. I am really impressed with how he’s been able shape my hair, and accommodate what I need for different shoots. He is very knowledgeable with about hair products, and is able to match the style I request with a product which works with the cut.

Looks are Deceiving I have been to the spa three times. The first time I had my hair cut and colored and had a facial. The girl who did my hair told me after she had finished my hair that I looked like I just woke up when I came into the spa (meaning the way that my hair looked). That really hurt my feelings as I had spent almost 1 hour on it that day. Waste of time and money The whole experience was just garbage. From the moment I walked in to the moment I left. Rude, overpriced and obnoxious. Have a 2 year old cut your hair for better results. They had NO regard for what I wanted and kept me waiting for over an hour with no word as to what they delay was. The owner, HORRIBLE. Rude. He actually told off a woman because she had the nerve to ask what time it was. I will NEVER go there again and have told EVERYONE I know what a horrible place this is. good experience overall my first time there, everyone was pleasant and respectful. I had a manicure and a chocolate massage. Both were great, my nails look awesome and i'm super relaxed. I had questions about other services and they took the time to tell me everything i needed to know. I also heard from someone that some of those bad reviews are from an angry employee that was fired. I say give the place a try!

Apperance Day & Spa - Disrespectful and Need Customer Service Training Appearance Day & Spa is located in a strip mall so after shopping at TJ Max I walked over to my appointment that I had made to get my eyebrows waxed and when I walked in with my stroller and 2 year old the receptionist told me to wait then called Tom one of the owners. Horrible Waste of time and money. I received NO respect and was treated extremely poorly by the front desk staff. Not worth the money or the time they kept me waiting. (almost an hour) Would NOT reccomend this place to anyone.

greatest experience its really sad when people are unhappy with themselves and try to find flaws in others ive traveled around the world n have gone to some of the most expensive salon and spas. But when im in poughkeepsie i only go to appearance day spa. For excellent and friendly service. They pride themselves with always doing the newest and latest services. I always feel comfortable and enjoy their beverage menu. This spa is very clean and modern. I would recommend this place to everyone i know.

not happy when i walked in there for my appt. with tom he was yelling and swearing at the girl behind the desk. just because she didn't offer coffee to me. she was on the phone and checking out a client when i had walked in i will never

Tom is the BEST!!!!! I have been going to Tom for many years and he has always been very accomidating with schedule and has NEVER been rude! This IS the best salon around and I would not go anywhere else!!
