Truly stunning views from the bed! We stayed for 2 nights, beds were perfectly comfortable, showers were great, the birdlife and insects are beautiful. Some things were incomplete, the waterslide was not functioning and the pond was unhealthy, but I'm sure with development these features will come alive.
We did 4 days of private lessons with them. We had a great time with the school and in particular with Maya. She was attentive, great advices, and absolutely lovely with our 7 yo daughter. The whole team is very nice and available, and the spot was great for us (beginners). Can only recommend!
⸻ My two boys just finished the 3-day program and absolutely loved it! They came home buzzing each day, full of stories about what they learned (and how many times they fell off, which apparently is part of the fun). The instructors were friendly, patient, and made the whole experience exciting and confidence-building. Now they’re begging for their own boards and want to keep learning which I’m counting as a huge success! Highly recommend for anyone looking to get their kids into surfing in a fun and safe way.
I was hosting my friend from Auckland to try out surfing for the first time! She had so much fun and the conditions were great for beginners. Sam, our instructor took us through what to look out for before getting into the water. He taught us how to pop up, and encouraged us to share our goals to reach. As someone who has been surfing less than a year, it was nice to get a refresher and considering I had just found out I'm actually "goofy", I got to learn my own style and watch my friend figure hers out too! Awesome lesson, friendly welcome upon arrival, experienced staff. My son was the only youth at this lesson and the instructor made him feel part of the group and really encouraged him. Definitely recommend.
