I had an appointment at 1:30 pm today at the ANZ Gothic Specialist Hub with a consultant named Qi Liu to seek advice about a fixed term deposit. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. Instead of receiving helpful guidance, I felt dismissed and was told, "just make up your mind," which came across as rude and unprofessional. Stepping into the ANZ Gothic Bank felt like travelling back in time. The incredible architecture instantly reminded me of the Gringotts Bank scene from the first Harry Potter movie, where Harry goes to collect the Philosopher’s Stone. Every hallway and detail was breathtaking, with beautiful carvings highlighted in 23-carat gold paint that showcased the craftsmanship of a bygone era. Absolutely amazing musuem located on collins street and works as a functional bank too. Has a cafe out the back amd it's free to enter. Absolutely amazing and worth an hour of your time. My nuerodiverse child loves it here.
I was quite blown away by the restoration work that has been meticulously carried out here to retire it to its full glory. The process has been documented on a large display screen. Yes the yellow that you see above is gold foil which has been painstakingly applied. There are also signs around the place. Artifacts from the bank's early beginning are also there for all to see eg.
