We had a very neglected red cedar table that we asked George to restore. The table was in 2 parts, with nail holes around the edge, the wood was dry and cracking and the colour was greyfrom too much paint stripper. It was family piece so wanted to do as much as we could. I was literally speechless when I saw the result:deep rich red colour, glowing wood and respectful work that showed the history of a loved family piece . I can't recommend this business highly enough.
George at Antique Sales and Restoration was recommended to me as the right person for me to trust to restore my grandmother and mother's furniture. The three items he has already returned to me have proven my trust has not been misplaced. Most recently he has restored my mother's vintage (1954) dresser, breathing new life into it and making it look even better than I can remember. Not only is George a master at what he does, he is a great person to deal with and the pride he takes in his work is obvious.

George is fantastic. He does lovely furniture restoration work (fixing a tricky glass pane on a display cabinet that most wouldn't be brave enough to attempt, replacing the back on an arts and craft cabinet and reupholstering an old bridge chair) and is a pleasure to deal with (responsive, fast, well priced, delivers, and does what he says he is going to do). This is the second time George has done furniture restoration work for us and I plan to use him again as he is a real find. Highly recommend.
George made my antique singer sewing machine table look as good as new. I couldn't believe it was mine! George was lovely to communicate with and responded quickly to any question or email I had.
