About this business
Oil painting, mixed media, children's book illustration Sauk County, Wisconsin, one of the most scenic counties in the state, is the inspiration for most of my landscape paintings. Growing up in the Netherlands where the landscape is flat, and dominated by the sky and its constantly changing cloud formations that roll in from the sea, I've discovered that expressing the balance of beauty of the constant dramatic play between the two, sky and landscape, is what I enjoy most.

I've attended the Fall Art Tour in Baraboo, WI for several years and I'm always so impressed with Anne's ability to create new and beautiful works of art. To see this kind of talent is a gift.
We have a couple of pieces of his artwork, and enjoy seeing them hanging on our wall. Have received compliments from friends and family on his artwork.
I am a proud collector. After falling in love with the paintings seen on the Fall Art Tour, I had to see them everyday.
Anne Horjus is one of the most talented artists. His paintings are phenomenal. Whether painting a river, foliage, deer, etc you can almost reach out and touch his the paintings to see if it is real. You almost expect to get your hands wet if you touch his paintings of rivers and streams. So realistic. He has such a God given talent and is a very humble man as well.
