My daughter, as well as daughters of a few different friends, have received great health care through Lurie's Children's Hospital. Everyone we've encountered from doctors and nurses to the cafe and janitorial staff all have great attitudes with a genuine care for the kids receiving treatments as well as displaying compassion for the families. I have noticed that this has been consistent at multiple locations and I truly appreciate it.
We just had tonsil / adenoid surgery yesterday and they were incredible with my 4 year old. Bubble, play dough, and a puzzles and stuffed snoopy when we left. They even gave his teddy bear a mask :) when the went back to the OR. He was not scared at all for his age :) Thx to all the great staff and Dr. and Nurses that made our surgery a success.
My son had a appointment with ENT only waited 2 minutes to be called to the back and waited about 5 minutes to see the Doctor despite my being late. My baby wasn't noisy at his appointment and is gaining weight fine so he's wasn't too concerned about the situation so I guess I'll see how it is as he grow satisfied but not so satisfied with the appointment
My baby was diagnosed with a heart murmur and they also found a cyst on one of her ovaries. I was told to take her to luries to see specialist she ended up seeing a pediatric cardiologist and she also had to see a pediatric gynecologist. As a new mom I was scared and worried for the health of my 6 month old baby. But from the minute I walked into the hospital I was welcomed with warm smiling face and nurses who helped put me at ease.
