unacceptable The shelter has bad hours, only allows minimal contact with potential adoptions, and personnel was not very polite or helpful. On top of all of this they are not a No-kill shelter and several sources have informed me that they do not keep animals for very long. The adoption fares and acceptable, but the effort put forth to find these fine animals a loving home is unacceptable. Animal Welfare Shelter is HORRIBLE THIS ANIMAL SHELTER NEEDS DEF. CHANGES! I WENT IN TO LOOK AT ANIMALS, THE LARGE WOMAN THAT WAS BEHIND THE DESK AREA WOULDN'T EVEN GET UP TO SHOW US ANY ANIMALS, SHE JUST SAID GO INTO THIS ROOM. WE WENT INTO IT AND THE CAGES WERE COVERED IN URIN AND FESES. I FOUND A DOG THAT I WAS INTERESTED IN ADOPTING AND IT HAD A WEEK UNTIL IT WAS GOING TO BE PUT DOWN. Great people This is a good place to go to adopt an animal. If you are looking to adopt a certain type of animal, you can call and "put a request" in and if that type of animal ever shows up, they will contact you. Adoption rates are pretty standard and cover the necessary things. Overall, a good place to help animals.
So Called "Welfare Shelter" When my mom and I went to the so called "welfare shelter" we were told we could not see any animals unless they are the one we want to adopt. How could we choose an animal if we are just standing in the office? We were just looking for a mixed breed dog who had a good personality. The staff knew nothing about the individual animals. We left very disappointed and went to HELP The Animals to adopt a dog.
THIS SHELTER NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN!!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS HERE!!! I brought in two 6 month old kittens due to my circumstances and the fact I already own rescued cats and a dog. However, I did not know anything about this facility or that they euthanized animals. All I know is I did not feel right about leaving my kittens there. I continued to search for a home for them and found one. Only it had been to late! I went to retrieve them after only 1 week and they told me my kittens had been KILLED!!! Are you kidding me?
